I have been a near-lifelong fan of the scores of John Williams. So much so that I named my other comic strip after his middle name – Towner. It started in the late 1970s through early-1980s with Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman: The Movie, E.T. – The Extra Terrestrial and Return of the Jedi. It didn’t stop there, as Williams’ almost unbelievably prolific career has gone on steady from the 1960s through now, which included the Star Wars prequels, Schindler’s List, the 1st two Jurassic Park movies, the other Indiana Jones movies, and much, much more. I have a John Williams CD, Vinyl, cassette, DVD and Blu-ray collection that is well over 400 discs large. When I had more free time, I posted regularly on the biggest John Williams fansite, JWfan.com. And one of Williams’ most-beloved scores was Hook. I made alternate covers to a not commercially available “expanded” version of the score that made the rounds amongst fans in the early 2000s. The score, which is one of the best in Williams’s incredible career, is still available in original album format (and since the days of that bootleg, an officially released expanded 2-CD edition).
