Chrusher was a bit of a tattle-tale snitch on this page! Not a very heroic act, but if you look back at how Butski took advantage of Chrusher’s hospitality and generosity, and weaseled out of it, talking trash the entire way… it was just expediting a little karma coming back around towards our favorite lil’ Butski.
Due to also drawing the jumbo-sized “Wrath of the Rake” season finale at the same time during the winter-spring of 1989, I got some well-appreciated art assists by Justin Plank and RaYzor Castaldo! Thanks, guys!
As one can see, I was producing over a page per day! I didn’t go for plot depth or art quality in year one, I went for quantity and slap-you-in-the-face humor. Just trying to crowd-please. Thus, their help was appreciated, and they are credited with what panels they did.
