Do NOT Try This At Home… | ChrusherComix vs. Welphys vs. Lunaticials

I'll have to admit... I have to apologize because this comic was drawn with a little piss and vinegar. In hindsight (decades later) it looks pretty bad! LOL!

At the local speedway back in the 1990s, there were some opposing fans who absolutely hated our favorite driver (they cheered for his main rival, and that rivalry did get a little heated at times), and were actually obnoxiously drunk and occasionally harassed us for cheering for him.

Well, my on-again/off-again girlfriend at the time (who I stayed friends with and she actually wound up having a daughter with one of my best friends) knew who they were and knew that at least some of them were underage and drinking. She wanted to report them to security because she saw how they were harassing on top of that, and I told her that while that would be funny, we'd (my brother and I) would get the blame so I told her that it'd probably best not to. Well, she did it anyway, and while you could tell that the security really didn't want to do it, they did and a few of them got tossed.

Apparently a few of them were not underage and turned up the harassment ten notches, angrily launching personal insults at me, my bro, our favorite driver, and threats of violence, most assuredly trying to bait us into a fight. Sitting a couple of rows above us and we were outnumbered. Of course, just like we warned her, we got the blame. I was thinking my brother and I were going to have to climb up and fight them, but we were outnumbered even after a bunch of them got tossed!

Anyways, before things escalated to the point where maybe push would've came to shove, some big dudes who I went to school with (and they were big football D Lineman guys in school) got up and told them to, "Shut the F*** up and watch the f***ing race before they come over there and shut them up!" The punks indeed followed the advice. We appreciated it. They saw we were outnumbered and getting baited, so they evened the odds (even more so because they were way bigger than the punks). [And even though they were fans of another driver, they cheered for our guy that night. Good guys. Later on, we also became fans of their favorite driver as well, mainly because he's the best and nicest mechanic on top of being a legendary driver.]

Later that night, in my anger, we made a comic of the assh*les having some good ol' drunk fun with each other. Yes, my comics are 100% fictional, but that doesn't mean real life people and events didn't inspire me. It's like that for every writer, no matter who says otherwise.

Oh... and before anyone gets mad and says this is h*m*ph*bic and I'm a b*g*t, these guys were clearly straight, so accusing them of aggressively s*domizing each other is one of the more insulting things 20-something year old me could come up with for them. On the flip side, the way I see it, if they were g*y, and I would've drawn them backsliding and instead going at it hot and heavy with a women. Theoretically, it would (should?) be more insulting to them if they were, right? Many would be all grossed out and, "ew!" Either way, back then, people said stuff like that all of the time. Today's sensibilities, everyone would get all mad and cancel-y. Get a grip, relax, it's a joke about two punks who tried to bait me and my brother into an outnumbered fight.

Regardless, no matter how you look at it, this is NOT safe for work, and I have blocked it for underage people. Apologies.
